“Heard at Hartman” our ongoing blog feature where we share updates on customer requests and feedback that have resulted in changes, special products or corrections to our exiting materials.
Today’s topic: Crosswalk special requests
One of our most popular instructor resources is our curriculum “crosswalk.” We create crosswalks for all 50 states for each new edition of all of our nursing assistant textbooks. The crosswalk is a curriculum tool that shows your state’s training requirements along with the page numbers in our books on which those topics are covered. Any time we hear that a state has changed requirements, we research the changes and update our crosswalks. We typically include a paper copy of the crosswalk in textbook samples and we’re always happy to email or fax a crosswalk upon request.
The standard format for our crosswalks is a PDF. In some cases, instructors have contacted their sales representatives to request that the crosswalk be provided in an alternate format. Due to specific requests, we’ve done additional work, such as including an extra column for syllabus dates or inserting more information. Some instructors have requested a Word document so that they can edit these documents to suit their needs. We want to make sure each instructor gets the most out of all the resources we offer. If you find that you are not able to use a resource in its existing form, please let us know. We’re always available to help find solutions to your challenges.
While not every comment or critique will result in a change, we always welcome your words, questions and feedback. You help make our products the best they can be and we’re always ready to listen. Go ahead: Be heard at Hartman!
