This week: For our New York Home Health Care Agencies
In 2018 we started calling our home health care customers in New York state. We were attempting to determine how well our Spanish training materials were meeting the needs of the instructors using our Spanish textbook there. New York has very specific training requirements for all its home health agencies. Hartman has strived to meet these training needs in the past by creating custom crosswalks; adding a special skills appendix to our comprehensive home health care textbook, Providing Home Care, 5th Edition; providing additional test banks for classroom use; and allowing a company to translate those test banks into several different languages. Because the state requires the use of a published textbook and because our brief Spanish book does not cover all of the special skill requirements required by the New York Department of Health, we set out to remedy that by creating a special Spanish language supplement to go along with our HHA text, Guía de Técnicas para Ayudantes de Salud en el Hogar, Starting now, customers using the Spanish textbook can contact their sales representative to request the supplement. Covered topics include newborn care, expanded nutrition information, use of special medical equipment in the home, and care of ostomies. We’re excited to supply this supplement to help our HHA customers meet their training requirements without turning to multiple outside sources.
While not every comment or critique will result in a change, we always welcome your words, questions and feedback. You help make our products the best they can be and we’re always ready to listen. Go ahead: Be heard at Hartman!
